SeattlePI.com reports that Washington Divorce Online has ceased operations in Washington State after admitting that it has been offering legal services without having any attorneys on staff. This company operates in all fifty states according to their website. We know they operate in North Carolina as their Washington State website is identical to their North Carolina site (no link provided as we didn’t want to spread our Google juice to them).

It’s funny because when we first noticed the site we thought it was a local lawyer. They have a picture of a pleasant looking guy on the home page and I thought it was a solo practitioner figuring out how to offer his services on the web. I bet a lot of other folks get that impression as well.

One wonders if the North Carolina State Bar or Attorney General is investigating this provider. Are investigations underway in other states?

Your spouse takes the opposite view. Who’s right? You certainly won’t find agreement in the midst of an argument. SideTaker.com is an innovative website that allows each of you to post your position on the issue and allow independent third parties to determine who is “right”.

Next time you don’t have to decide. Let someone else do it for you.

Will this lead to a happier marriage? Maybe not, but maybe you will be the winner of the argument. That would be a first for me.
