Will this phase out and have age limit? So when kids are above such age limit, child care expenses are no longer mandatory by law for inclusion in the calculation. Extracurriculum expenses, is there anything mandated by law? Again, they are healthy kids, no learning/mental problem, but also no special talent in piano or etc, can those piano classes etc are added into child support calculation? I have found out that he makes 2 times what his attorney stated in mediation after the consent order was signed. Since this is greater than 15% increase, can I go and request a change(increase) to child support less than one month from judge signing consent order? I have been told I have to wait 3 years?? I there anything I can or should I do about he and his attorney misrepresenting/falsely stating his income during mediation? It is truly next to impossible to support 2 children on $336 per month. I have been married for 25 years to a recidivist drug addict who can be physically and verbally abusive. I am ready to stop the merri-go-round; he won't leave and I have left before in the past and returned in an attempt to reconcile, but the cycle continued. I recently had separation papers drawn up, he refused to sign them. We have 3 three children (18 and above), no property together except one joint account (a recent mistake). He purchases alcohol and hides it, drinking it when no one is around. I have been keeping track of his hiding places so I can see how much he is consuming and keep a record of it. He has been through rehab a few times and has has two DUIs several years ago. We have 2 children. I want to divorce him but so far have not out of fear of what will happen if he were to be alone with the kids. I'm afraid he will get drunk and try to drive them somewhere. He has already tried to do this when he is 'pretending' to be sober when he has obviously been drinking. If I'm around I can make sure he doesn't put the kids in the car, but I can't keep living like this. Can he still be held accountable for "fault" (reckless spending, alcoholism, internet pornography & attempts to solicit women, & lost his employment due to excessive absenteeism, however the employer said it was because of budget constraints.) Or because bipolar is a medical condition, and his destructive behavior is "text book" behavior for the condition, would he NOT be held accountable & considered at fault as it would relate to receiving alimony? We have been married for 20 years and the disorder really began to show itself about 5 years ago. He does take his meds regularly, however, combined with 12+ beers each day, I would suspect the alcohol lessens the beneficial action of the medicine.
