Domestic Violence Spikes Over the Holidays

Due to economic stress, many experts see a spike in domestic violence incidences around the holidays. They suggest the increase is linked to the fact that people drink more and there is more tension in the household around issues concerning money and family. Experts say that people also tend to be more depressed and generally spend more time at home, which can add to the tension.
